The time has come for direct democracy everywhere in the world. All big internet properties are being changed to social voting otherwise they will not survive. (google just started adding likes to search results) The same will hold true for governments.
I wrote this blog to promote the idea of direct democracy worldwide. You should support all local political parties that are proponents of a direct democracy like seen in Switzerland. Political corruption is reaching so far that its time to change something.
Direct proponents are the members of Pirates International. The strongest country in the EU, Germany, is already witnessing increased demand for direct democracy.
Its time to step up. North Africa and the Middle East are showing us that change is possible. We must act before politicians will start a war after a new financial crisis that is looming.
Switzerland works and it has the lowest 10 year bond yield after japan. People trust Switzerland, Switzerland has excellent foreign policy and good financial standing. Its products are known for quality not for mass cheap production.

But my personal opinion is that direct democracy in some cases does not work because we have no experience with it and e-government has not been deployed. I say give it time, support direct democracy and implement e-government. E-government will make more people be directly involved in the political process.
